Recap: Logan out Loud
Oh behalf of the whole Keep Kim Home crew I would like to say thank you very much to all who came out last night. The Logan out Loud event was a huge success. Kim attended and had such a sweet and genuine glow about her. Anyone who interacted with Kim could see how incredibly thankful she was. We raised about $530 in ticket sales and $200 just from donations. We couldn't have done this without all of you and your support.
Keep checking the blog for more updates as well as more upcoming events. We also accept donations here.
shout out to Logan out Loud. They put on a great show! If you haven't seen their improv show you need to check them out ASAP. So much fun!

YOU SAW THE SIGN!
If you saw the sign, heard us on the radio or walked over a chalk message then have come to this point for a good reason!
This is our last effort to tell EVERYONE about Saturday's Event.
Keepkimhome is an effort to keep Lou Gehrig patient Kim Maibaum in her home (rather than a nursing facility.) Lou Gehrig's disease destroys the voluntary muscles but not the brain and thus Kim maintains her brilliant mind trapped in a body that she can not move on her own.
Kim loves life and spent most of it signing for the deaf community. She interpreted for people like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Henry Kissinger and Bill Clinton. She was awarded several awards for her achievements, her hard work and dedication to her profession.
Now Kim's only mode of communication is via her CNA's that translate mumbled letters into real letters then into words and then sentences. This is how she communicates her needs. This one on one attention is not provided in a nursing facility.
Kim has NO MONEY. Her funds are exhausted. She receives government assistance for her personal and medical needs but with out another income she will not be able to compensate for the help she needs. However, with your help she'll have what she needs to stay home.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 17th 2012 AT 7PM
AT THE LUNDSTROM CENTER
(1295 North 1000 East Logan UT 84321)
We will hold a silent auction in her behalf. There will be free food, amazing music AND the Silent auction for things like: Student block meal plans, oil changes, dinner tickets, passes to the rock haus, hand crafted items and MORE!
All proceeds will go to pay off her existing mortgage so that the income from her renters will provide the steady income she needs to maintain her help rather than just cutting even with the mortgage payment.
This CAN be achieved with all of YOUR HELP! SO tell ALL of your FRIENDS and we'll see you SATURDAY!!
