About Kim

Before my mission and now after for a total of 8 months I have worked for a lady with Lou Gehrig's disease. Her name is Kim Maibaum, she is in her late 50's, has a cat named Gracie, red hair and a personality to match it.

Due to the disease, Kim has close to no movement. In order to fund the unexpected turn of events in her life Kim sold the property she owned in Massachusetts and started living off the life insurance she had. Kim uses the insurance money to pay CNA's; allowing her to stay in her home, rather than go to a nursing facility. Now, 8 years later, she has exhausted the financial resources she has. She uses government assistance for living and medical expenses but with out another income, and running low on funds, she will no longer be at liberty to stay in her home.

That's where you come in. Spread the word and get prepared. We can use all the help, suggestions and support we can get. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming information and your hearts open to help her stay home.
